The North Shore of Oahu has quickly become one of the places I feel most at home in the world. There is an “only good vibes” attitude among the people who live here and you feel it instantly. Couple that with delicious, no-frills food and some of the most idyllic scenery and beaches in the world, and you have yourself a perfect escape just 45 minutes outside of Honolulu. Turtle Bay Resort is one of the best places to have sunset Mai Tais while you watch local surfers catch the last few waves of the day.

In winter months, you will see at least three to four rainbows a day. I almost got into several accidents trying to photograph them while driving. Not recommended. This rainbow sinking in to the horizon was pretty magical.
