Lei’d Back – Shark’s Cove, Oahu

We arrived at Haleiwa, home base for our North Shore adventure, on a sunny late afternoon. Although we were tempted to stop at all of the graffiti’d shrimp trucks along Haleiwa’s main drag, food could wait. Magic hour was in full swing and we were on the hunt for a dreamy Hawaiian location to shoot. Top down, we continued along Kamehameha Highway making numerous traffic infractions as we u-turned to gawk at the big surf. About a five minute drive past famous Waimea Bay we found our spot — the perfect place to shoot — Shark’s Cove at Pupukea Beach. It’s not a surf beach. It’s full of craggy rocks and tide pools that fill up and empty out as the waves decide. Snorkelers love it here. I loved it here.Courtney Scott North Shore OahuCourtney Scott JungleCourtney Scott TravelCourtney Craggy Rocks North Shore Hawaii
