Bushwick Style – State of Style Ep. 1

Since 2007 you guys have known me as Courtney the travel blogger, but for the past year or so I’ve really enjoyed bringing together my love for travel and style on my blog.  I’ve always been fascinated by how style differs from city to city, even from neighborhood to neighborhood and how different beauty rituals are popular in one country, but perhaps not in another.  Stars aligned a few months ago and now I’m super excited to be producing and hosting a new show for Ulive called State of Style.  The show gives travelers (or the style-obsessed) a quick snapshot of style and beauty around the world and helps you get the look.

So what can you expect in each episode?

First I’ll hit the streets to explore standout style and trends. Then I’ll break down a head-to-toe look that embodies the destination.  Next I’ll be giving you my picks for where to shop, from indie boutiques to artisan workshops, and where to find the coolest souvenirs in town. Because let’s face it…no one really needs another tacky trinket to throw in a drawer.

I hope that this show will help you feel less like a tourist, more like a stylish local and I would love to hear what you want to see more or less of in the show.  And just a little, actually, big shoutout to my husband, Djordje.  He is the cameraman behind all of the SOS episodes!  Our first episode takes you to my own backyard – Bushwick, Brooklyn – where Bushwick style stretches as far as your imagination can take you.
